Evo Deconcini firm buys retail strip mall
Tucson-based 4 D Properties, which is owned by Evo D. DeConcini, has purchased a retail strip mall at 3900 W. Costco Drive for $1,585,000.
The short sale closed last week. The seller was Landia Properties LLC, whose ownership includes attorney Burt Kinerk. Mike Schulte of the Schulte Company represented Landia Properties.
The roughly 11,500-square-foot strip mall was built a few years ago and is 33 percent occupied, Schulte said.
Computer Renaissance changing its location
Computer Renaissance is expanding and will move to a larger location at 7254 N. Oracle Road, near West Ina Road, on Oct. 1.
Despite the recession, the company has seen an increase in business, said owner Rich Flieger.
The new 3,200-square-foot location will have 1,000 square feet of work space for technicians. Flieger said he anticipates hiring four more technicians, two more salespeople and possibly a warehouse manager.
Computer Renaissance, a franchise owned by Friendly Computers opened at 4132 N. Oracle Road in 1996. Anyone interested in the open positions can contact Flieger at 888-8100.
Local Web site creator gets G-20 summit job
Tucson Web site creator Simpleview was chosen to build and maintain the press Web site for G-20 international economic summit Sept. 24-25 in Pittsburgh, now online at www.g20pittsburghsummit.org.
Simpleview created the VisitPittsburgh.com destination marketing site for Visit Pittsburgh, the area's official tourism promotion agency, in 2004.
